Cambridge ESOL certificates are recognised by thousands of educational organisations and employers throughout the world. They can open doors to higher education and to improved job prospects.

Almost all universities and colleges of higher education in the United Kingdom, along with hundreds of others in the USA, Canada, Australia, New Zealand and many other countries, accept Cambridge ESOL exams at Council of Europe level C1 and C2 as evidence that the learner has sufficient language ability to follow a course taught in English.

Education authorities in many countries, including the UK, have formally accredited the Cambridge ESOL exams within their national education systems.

Many other learners take an exam so that they can show prospective employers that they have the language skills needed for a wide variety of careers. Employers use Cambridge ESOL certificates when recruiting staff or as part of their professional development activities.
